Babies and Children really are the centerpiece of a family photo so when you get them on their own and with their siblings you get pure, authentic expressions that go beyond any pose! I like to play games with the little ones and invoke their 'help' with my camera or lighting or in helping me get a sibling to laugh uncontrollably. Usually by the end of a session I've made some new friends who I can't wait to see again. Many of my smallest clients leave our sessions saying "That was so fun!" The key is to let the children be children and to follow their lead. Kids can teach us so much about authentic moments of joy if we just let them.
