I had so much fun with the Chapman family in their new, beautiful home! Jennifer and Luke are old high-school friends of mine and it was great to catch up with them and to see their adorable children! We started outdoors with some traditional 'on location' portrait shots of the family but then we tried something a little new. Life-style photography is exactly what the name implies, it's you and your family, doing the things you love, together. My job then is to find the light, step back and capture the moments that happen between you. I'm really excited about offering this new and exciting way to capture real family moments not only because it captures authentic emotion but also because its so fun for both the grown-ups AND the kids (and for me who falls somewhere between the two)! I aim to make all my family shoots easy going and painless but lifestyle photography is both of those things and more because its in YOUR setting doing YOUR stuff.  On this bright and early Friday morning with the Chapman family for example, Jack and Abigail played outside, had breakfast together, wrestled, read some books, wrestled some more, showed me ALL of their toys and (much to mom's chagrin) jumped on beds! These are the things that happen in their everyday lives and it should be the memories they have of their childhood both in their hearts AND in their photo albums. Yay for awesome, adorable families!
